Great blog, Red. Some very unusual/rare tunes. One comment, I have a hard time downloading from divShare, it does the 15 sec countdown and then goes back to the original link, with no download, about 90% of the time. I investigated a bit, and tried changing your link, with improved results. For instance, I changed:http://www.divshare.com/download/10463055-d39tohttp://www.divshare.com/direct/10463055-d39and the odds of a good download increased to about 75%.Just thought you'd like to know. Even so, it's worth the inconvenience. I'd rather download from MediaFire or Megaupload, but that's life. Thanks again.
One more thing, I just remembered I've got some old 45s packed away in the attic, the kind with 2 songs on each side, I'll see if I can dig them up and send you a list. I'm able to scan and rip the records myself, but that would have to wait until after our move.

Spar Records managed to issue regular records by original artists with no intentions for cheap cover material. The label was owned by Bill Beasley & Allen Bubis, & had distribution operations from Sam Phillips' Memphis Sound studio by Cecil Schaife.
