These are the same Rays who hit with "Sillhouettes" in 1957. XYZ Records was run by songwriters/producers Frank Slay & Bob Crewe in 1957, & originally issued "Sillhouettes" locally. The record took off nationaly, thanks to airplay in New York by DJ Hy Lit, & got issued with major promotion by Bernie Lowe at Cameo Records. XYZ later set up a distribution partnership with London Records for follow-up records as "Magic Moon"(the A-side of "Louie Hoo-Hoo"),"Medeteranian Moon", & "Mr. Elevator Operator" by The Rays.
