Buddy Savitt was Cameo/Parkway's house saxophonist signed by Bernie Lowe to the label in 1958, & first appeared on the Halloween novelty "Dinner With Drac" by Philedelphia TV vampire host John Zacherele. Savitt would go on to appear on many of Cameo/Parkway's biggest hits until 1966, backing up Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, The Orlons, Dee Dee Sharp,The Dovells & many others.Yes, that's his saxophone on one of the biggest hits of the 1960's, "The Twist" by Chubby Checker. Clifford Brown did the original sax playing of "The Twist" by Hank Ballard on King Records in 1959.
