This comes from a 1969 LP called 'Fiends and angels' which featured Eric Clapton, Jim Capaldi, and members of Chicken Shack among other 60s British rock royalty. An amazing forgotten bit of white-boy (and gal) blues worth checking out, if you can find it.
the Lp was a killer and highly underated. As much as I love this 45 (which I used to own when I was artifact heavy pre-1993, I miss the operatic intro on the LP which they must have thought was too over the top to gain top 40 airplay...although what were they thinking anyway...Etta James' version wasn't THAT old by the time they released this. Wish I could find the whole LP so I could get the full version, but this will do VERY nicely, thank you so much.
