I like Wanda Jackson's version better.

Wanda's is the definitive but this is the genesis. Until I acquired this a few years ago I never knew Wanda's was not the original.

I second that, Howdy... Somehow, even though we all grew up with Wanda's, I can actually sense the originality of Annisteen's attempt. A WINNER!

Wow, I had NO idea this wasn't a Wanda original.

I'm with you, Howdy - Wanda's take rules but it's fantastic to hear this version. Thank you!

Interesting contrast with the Wanda Jackson version. This is more soulful/blusey -- so I think the world (especially me) should have them BOTH.

Thanks!

Apparantley, Wanada and/or her people in the know knew enough to listen to black radio stations back then as so many other Top 40 hits came from that source.
