I guess it's the Tagg label based in Plainview, Ark. Same publishing company and the record number would fit, if the "65" indicates the year and the "01" the number. Eddie Bond's Tagg single had 6408 as record no and was released in 1964. Johnny Mystery's record also had Tagg Publishing on label.
Paula Marie was also Paula Motes. At one time she was married to Cowboy Star Sunset Carson. When this was recorded she was married to Tommy Floyd who was a bass player for Tex Ritter. I recently bought some of the records from their estate.
This is great! Could've come out several years later on a private press "loner folk" lp & no one would've blinked. And the moody vibe works with many songs in a more garagey idiom as well. Very cool.
To whom it may concern: I'm pretty sure Paula wasn't Married to Sunset Carson. Paula Marie Motes at the time now Paula Marie Martin,my Mother, was never married to Sunset, but her mother Marie Motes married him for a short time. Mom used to tell us she recorded music but I've never heard for myself.so proud!..Love you Mom!
Heath M. Martin (One of her twin sons) She has 5 sons and 2 daughters
This is my mom! How can i get a copy of this!?? She was only about sixteen to eighteen years old. Her mom ( my grandmaw) was married to Cowboy Star Sunset Carson. This is not my grandmaw but it is my mother Paula marie.

What a brilliant song! I think I'll borrow it for my next acoustic session (changing him to her).

really awesome sounds. love it!
What a nice, haunting tune. I can't think of too many songs with the same vibe throughout. Thanks for this.
