This is a "song poem" recording -- people sent in their poems and the company would set them to music.The singer sounds just like (and probably is) Rodd Keith.
i guessed it was a song poem but isn't a little late for the Rodd Keith era?
I left the link at Bob Purse's Song Poem blog. He'd be more knowledgeable. But, to me, it sounds like Rodd Keith
