One of my all time favorites. I bought this 45 when it was first released. Still have it. And a bit of trivia. Pete Townsend stole this song, changed the lyrics and released it as "Zoot Suit" back when the Who were still known as the High Risers.

This is a fab record! Another collector friend of mine turned me on to it back in the early mid eighties. just printed the title strip and putting it on the JAL 200 tonight

Great record. But to correct an earlier comment, it wasn't Pete Townshend who ripped this off for Zoot Suit, but Peter Meaden, the then-manager of the High Numbers (not the High Risers), the name the Who switched to for a short period in 1964.

nice find. Lie Darryl said, It wasn't Townshend who stole it, Pete Meadon. We looked at this record too. The guitarist's family contacted us. Check it out here at http://ontheflip-side.blogspot.com/2010/10/song-of-week-misery-dynamics.html.

We've linked your blog to ours. Hope you'll do the same.
