Phil & Don; It is so hard for me to think they are in their mid 70's, I still remember seeing them on the silvertone black and white when I was a kid. Remember when my Dad brought me home an Everly Brothers 45 on Cadance. Then I remember getting Gone Gone Gone from the Kress store basement in a ten for a dollar pack and one of my friends tried to trade me three Beatle 45's for it. Kinder gentler times indeed. Hopefully Phil is hooked up with Buddy tonight by the counsel fire looking down at all the hipsters saying these punk ass kids think they got it all figured out!

In 1958 Billy Strunk and I worked out the harmony for "All I Have to Do Is Dream" and presented it to our sixth grade class. I sang Phil's part. Billy wore his hair in a little curl on his forehead like Bill Haley. I had a flattop and flared my nostrils like Elvis. The girls swooned.
