The Stereos were from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 1960, & originally had an all-black group. after the one-shot top 40 of success of "i Really Love You" in 1961, one member left, & was replaced by a then-unknown white Italian member named Felix Cavalarie from New York. The band disbabded in 1964, & Cavalarie went on to form the Young Rascals with Eddie Brigatti, Gene Cornish, & Dino Danelli in 1965 with enormous success. "I Really Love You" also appears in true stereo (courtesy of Polygram Records, who currently owned the master)on the now out-of-print Doo-wop compilation on Rhino Records titled "The Best of Doo-Wop Uptempo"(released 1989-release#R2-75764.)

Correction to the earlier note:the Stereos originally formed in Stubensville, Ohio (the same birthplace of Dean Martin)around 1959-60,then got their start locally in Cleveland.
