Hi, I follow your radio roundup blog and look forward each day to your 45 of the day. I came here tonight and listened to about 10 - 12 songs before I realized this was also your blog! How in the heck do you find time to do all this? YOU THE MAN. THANKS. You have really helped me enjoy retirement after 37 years of Government toil.

Mayflower Records was set up in 1958 by Frank Metis, Warren Nadel, who issued teen-oriented discs under the Psyeundenom Randy Starr ("After Schhol" was his only top 40 hit from 1957 on Dale Records)& Eddie Layton. this trio of musicians made records for Mayflower under the name The Islanders, & had a top 20 record with "The Enchanted Sea", covered from Martin Denny's Exotica Jazz band. This record was their attempt to get into the Rock & Roll market by signing a local band from New York called The Warriors. This was their only top 100 moment, mainly hitting the New York area regionally well, then briefly making the national charts in 1959.
