As much as I would like to think that is a bagpipe, I suspect this is a sax masquerading as a pipe!

I'm with Howdy. No way that's a bagpipe. I don't think you can play the pipes without a drone, can you?
I think you're right, DoodyHead, there's none of that twin + triple piping present.
Maybe someone should re-cut it with actual bagpipes, it's got #1 written all over it.
The only R&R record I know that uses real bagpipes is Under The Milky Way by Anglo/Oz 80s outfit, The Church. Fantastic middle eight played on pipes and 12-string guitars
This is the band with legendary actor Sid Haig on drums. A side is called Full House.
